The "Wow" factor: New Zealand
Sweet Bro = Something as common as "G'day mate" in Australia!
"When God created the earth, firstly He created New Zealand". I heard this expression from friends, but I did not believe... until traveling to NZ!
New Zealand is a country of contrasts: beautiful mountains, nice beaches, vulcanos ...
This photo shows a real "crowd" in NZ! :-)
Sheeps are everywhere... NZ's population is about 3.5 million ppl... Sheeps are about 40 million...!
My trip started in Auckland!
It is the biggest city in NZ... Lots of Brazilians in the streets... Incredibly, I believe there are more Brazilians there than in Melbourne!
This photo shows a bit of Auckland's architecture...
Have I told Kiwis love Radical Sports? The Sky tower is used for bungy jumping! Crazy kiwis! :-)
kiwi = New Zealander
Guess what is going to happen to these guys next?
1) They will have fun
2) They will be thrown to the sky at 220Km/h
3) They will be $ 50.00 poorer
4) All the above :-)
Then, I went to the South Island... Christ Church...
I took the Trans-alpine as a way of crossing from the East-coast to the West-coast...
It is a very comfy trip, it takes 4:30 minutes to cross the country! You can see lots of beautiful mountains...
Not bad, uh?
Very greenie country!
The first very nice stop over after Greymouth (arghhh!) was Franz Josef... There I could see the Franz Josef Glacier... I could not walk at the Glacier as it was too rainy! :-(
But, I could take photos! See the Glacier behind me!
The first Bungy Jump! :-) Kawarau Bridge!
Then, Queenstown! :-)
I really need to go there once again... The surrounding region is incredible...
Because of my time constraints, I just could stay one day... Pity! :-(
So, no skydiving, bungy jumping...
Then, I passed by Dunedin... Quite nice city... I heard that it is very cold during the winter time... Brrrr....!
This is Dunedin's train station!
Hey, some Swiss friends I met in Dunedin: Search (uhm, I think I spell like this!) and Carmen... !
I think we got very happy after so much wine!
Very interesting rocks... They are called the Moeraki boulders! Incredible, isn't it? :-)
Some friends... Rosella and Sinead... Where are they now? :-)
Another view of the Moreaki... It reminds me of Florianopolis in Brazil!
Breathtaking...! Mount Cook!
Just to end, some photos of funny adds in NZ!
If you see the photo's bottom left, it is a Christian church!
Bad name for a Restaurant... eheh ... It reminds me of another KIWI expression...
Women wanted!
Oh my Lord!
